The Jakaya M. Kikwete Youth park is a Multi-Sport Facility Developed by Symbion Power and Sunderland AFC from the English Premier League, located in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Officially opened in mid-October 2015, the youth park provides sports and healthy lifestyle education opportunities for Tanzanian boys and girls.
The park is free for all, open year round, seven days a week. The JMK park provides a full-size 3G artificial turf football pitch, two five-a-side pitches, one sand-based pitch, two basketball courts, and floodlighting to ensure the community can enjoy the facility in the evenings.
The facility also features a center of excellence dedicated to improving the skills of young Tanzanian footballers.
The JMK Park also provides a major basketball league program featuring coaching and player development clinics throughout the season. Students from 30 schools from across Dar es Salaam will be able to participate in professional style basketball league competitions.
